DDAT
D'DAT
DDAT is an independently released collection of 11 songs that represent everything the band has been called by entities like NPR, Yahoo.com and Mic.com: “Funky, Poetic, Complex, Forward Thinking and Out of the Box.” Blending Def-i's intelligent and poetic words and hip hop style with the hard driving funk and jazz jams of Delbert Anderson
DDAT is an independently released collection of 11 songs that represent everything the band has been called by entities like NPR, Yahoo.com and Mic.com: “Funky, Poetic, Complex, Forward Thinking and Out of the Box.” Blending Def-i's intelligent and poetic words and hip hop style with the hard driving funk and jazz jams of Delbert Anderson (Trumpet), Nicholas Lucero (Drums) and Mike McCluhan (Bass) - DDAT has carved their own path with their desert forged influences and world class musicianship as evident as on every track on the album. The Move - a catchy song with a hook and beat that will get stuck in your head for days, DDAT – a track with a chorus that modulates time and still manages to get people dancing, or Outer Inner which is reminiscent of the groups like Digable Planets only with much more fire and a fresh and modern patina. DDAT also isn’t afraid to stretch as artists and musicians as proved on the pure fusion fire of tracks like Half Time or the fiery solos on Girl from Nanaimo or the critically acclaimed first release from the album – Roadrunner.
“DDAT” is an independently released album recorded and mastered by Doug Eagle at Eagle Sound Studios in Durango, CO.
